Our Newsletter Sign Up Has Changed
A technical issue with the platform we’ve used in the past to send out newsletters has forced to us to recreate the process for subscribing by readers interested in receiving our newsletter emails. First, the bad news. Not only has the issue required a lot of time and work for me, it will cause some inconvenience for those already subscribed.
After two weeks of trying to work with the platform we were using, it became apparent we couldn’t solve the technical issue. The only option was to cancel our account with them and move to a different platform. As a result, all the current newsletter subscriptions, along with reader email addresses, were deleted. That means if you are one of our valued long time subscribers, we had to cancel your subscription and you will no longer receive newsletters by email. Now the good news.
If you subscribed in the past, and you wish to continue receiving the newsletter, all you need to do is spend less than a minute to complete the new subscription form on our home page or at the bottom of this post. In return for subscribing, you will receive a copy of The Third Option, the new Jason Dedman short story prequel to the first novel in the series, The Dedman Emergence. And there is more good news for subscribers. You will become a member of our new VIP Readers community.
Introducing VIP Readers
While we are starting from scratch in building a new newsletter email list, this gives us an opportunity to make some long overdue changes to provide more value to our subscribers. So, we are launching the VIP Readers Community. Rest assured, as a subscriber to our newsletter and new book announcements, we have always considered you a very important person, and we think it’s well past time for us to do more to show our appreciation for your support. We plan to do that with VIP Readers by offering more than just a periodic newsletter and new book announcements.
We haven’t worked out all the details yet, but here are a few of the things we plan to offer VIP Readers subscribers.
- A monthly newsletter emailed to your inbox, beginning April 1, 2024.
- More free content in the form of one free short story each quarter, beginning May 1, 2024, featuring your favorite characters from our novels across all our current series. We will make these stories available only to VIP Readers subscribers. We will not publish them elsewhere.
- VIP Readers only contests several times a year where you will have the chance to win prizes like free eBooks, signed copies of my print books, and swag.
- While you will be among the first to hear about our upcoming new releases, we also plan to email you periodically, reviews of other outstanding books we’ve read and enjoyed recently from other crime fiction and espionage thriller authors we think our readers might enjoy reading.
We hope both new and past newsletter subscribers will take a moment to enter their first name and email address on the new sign up form and then hit subscribe. As always, you may unsubscribe at any time if you no longer want to receive our emails.
Signing Up for VIP Readers
We finished setting up our new subscriber platform yesterday, and its ready to go To join our new VIP Readers tribe, simply enter your first name and email address in the new sign up form at right, click the two boxes and hit the “Subscribe” button and we’ll do the rest. Here is what to expect.
You will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Once you do that, you will automatically receive a download link to your free copy of The Third Option. You have the choice of getting the eBook version, which you can add to your favorite electronic book reader or a PDF version. Then, over the next several days, you will receive our series of welcome emails, which we hope you will find informative. After that, expect the monthly newsletter email, the usual periodic new release announcements, and other important VIP Readers information to keep you up to date.
From time to time, we plan to add more benefits for VIP Readers so please stay tuned so you won’t miss out.
