Gobsmacked but so honored best describes my feelings when I opened an email from BookWorks this morning and learned that my Come What May Novel had been featured by them.
BookWorks.com, a Publishers Weekly partner, is an international community for self-publishing authors and the professionals and companies who serve them. They help their members prepare, publish, and promote their books. BookWorks members include first-time authors and seasoned pros, as well as experienced service providers and indie publishing experts who share their insider knowledge and guidance.
You cannot imagine how astonished I was when I received an email from BookShout this morning, notifying me that I had been selected as one of their featured authors. It is a true honor because it isn't something an author can apply for. BookWorks makes the selections. What I find most pleasing about the selection is that in a real sense it is recognition from my Indie peers.
In addition to the nifty BookWorks Featured Author Medallion that I can proudly display on the cover of the Come What May novel, BookWorks also created a very attractive featured author page for me on their website.
